Monty's Gourmet Foods L.L.C. is the brainchild of Monty Fritts, who, in 1999, made his first award winning hot sauce called Fire Lizard at the request of a friend of his.

Soon after that came the next 3 hot sauces, Smoke & Fire, Around The World, and Dancing Fire. Each of these sauces had a unique flavor and a really intense fire that lit up all those midwest cliliheads that were looking for a better, more flavorful way to spice up their food.

After a year of creating sauces for his friends and family someone made the suggestion he should start making his sauces on a larger scale and start entering them into contests.

After a while it became apparent that this was not just a passing fad, and that he should start to expand his line of great tasting products. Thus was born Monty's Party Picante, and a couple of years after that came his latest creations Monty's Best Wing Sauces.

In September 2006, Monty opened his first retail outlet at 516 North Main Street in Ottawa, Kansas. He is expanding his line of high quality products to include great tasting products from all over the state of Kansas as well as the rest of the USA. Combining retail, brick and mortar sales with his already growing internet presence, and bringing his strong belief in customer service to the marketplace.

Coming in late May 2007 will be his greatest line of products, Monty's Smokin' BBQ Sauces which include mesquite, roasted garlic, and chipotle as well as a really fantastic reduced sugar variety.

We currently hold 39 international awards for flavor. and we continue to attempt to bring to market the hoest quality products that will bring flavor to bland everyday foods.

As Monty is fond of saying, "I'm a card carrying fat man,,, I like to eat and eat well. So you can take it to the bank when I say something tastes really good!
